It really annoys me. Our road is on the waterfront trail, and we get a lot of cyclists in the spring, summer, and fall, and some hikers in the summer walking up the street. Nobody on the street has any problems with any of them. Unfortunately, we also get the motorbikers. The noise from some of those things is totally obnoxious. Especially for the Harleys, it seems they may be changing the mufflers intentionally to increase noise.
P.S. I had a motorcycle for a while. Even though it was a much older model, it actually had a proper exhaust on it, and was probably 1/3rd as loud as the obnoxious motorcycles I'm talking about.
The other issue though is that even with some of the quieter bikers, they're revving them unnecessarily or accelerating fast on this residential street, leading to not only a noise issue but potentially also a safety issue.
