There is a flip side to every story - how many times have we heard those living in rural areas (and their representatives - we have at least one in the Ontario legislature - big bad Toronto blah blah) denigraging urbanites? It is so normalized to the point we don‘t think about it. I mean, recall this gem from a certain ex-urban/rural MPP?

An Ontario cabinet minister is being accused of politicizing the recent Toronto flooding on Twitter.

This is another example of lazy writing: Twitter says X (X being a collection of tweets from different users in response to tweet Y). Using this argument (in general) could lead to the conclusion that Twitter simultaneously condones and condemns extremism.

It is akin to saying Google says X (X being a top search result (ignoring the filter bubble of course)) or Wikipedia says X (X being in the body of an article) or Amazon says X (X being the average review of a product).

Twitter is horrible...

I find a lot of media types go after FB as they have control over the messaging on Twitter where they can push their agenda while on FB and IG they limited to no influence and that scares the crap out of them.
