Bad cell phone reception in tall towers?

Do you have a balcony? The metallic content in the windows may be killing your signal. Try reception on the balcony.

While it does require some expense to install picocells or however it's being done in our tower, I can't believe it isn't to the advantage of infrastructure operators to partner with towers rather than have weak connections to ground towers, people installing boosters and so on. People worried about brain cancer should be calling for in-building cell access because it means phones will be operating at lower power levels, but instead will see a radio source near to them and create uproar.

In-building wireless coverage enhancements are extremely expansive to install. Those installed in large office towers sometimes cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per floor. Unlikely a condo board will carry this cost. Consumer level signal enhancers are the best way to go. Also try something called a nextivity box, seems to do a good job as well.
