Interesting article suggesting Harper's usual tactics are not working...

However I'd say it's Muclair who has got to watch out next year, as his party's official opposition status is at great risk if Trudeau can make inroads in Quebec.

No surprise there - remember the weak "he is just over his head" ads followed up by a win in a boxing match over Brazeau? Kind of wrecked that line of attack for all but the Cons partisans.

It kind of reminds me of Republican ads against Obama when he was running for President, they used the same "liberal elite, not one of us" type attack ads that worked on Kerry but Obama was just too likable that people didn't really buy into it.

Using the same strategy that did with Ignatieff doesn't seem to be working. Trudeau is just too damn charming, which is like the opposite of Iggy.

But it is kind of funny, all their attack ads seem to be backfiring. They used footage of Trudeau removing his shirt in a strip tease kind of way, then it found out he did that for charity (using a charity event as attack video, who's the idiot who thought that was a good idea) Then when Trudeau said we need to find out the "root causes" of terrorism and Conservatives attack that, but shortly ever anti-terrorist experts and FBI used the exact same term on why they want capture the Boston guy alive. Then mocking him for being a teacher (because heaven forbid a politician held a real job before going into politics)

So far Trudeau is like the Road Runner and the Conservatives are like Wall-e Coyote. All their attack seem to be back firing.

I thought of it more as Trudeau is like Rob Ford and the Conservatives are like the Toronto Star (circa early 2013).

Haha, really? Where is the association with gangs? Chronic lying and public ill behaviour? Or better - refusal to talk to the police, racism, homophobia?
