Yes, I seem to be posting more NYC pics than any from any Canadian cities... but waddaya gonna do? Here's a bunch from my latest visit... Christmas and New Year's Eve in the Big Apple.
First stop, SPANISH HARLEM.
The Grafitti Hall of Fame
On to HARLEM, including the Malcolm Shabazz Market and the Apollo Theatre's tribute to James Brown.
Christmas lights around MIDTOWN.
There was a beautiful light show in Grand Central Station.
Across the river to BROOKLYN.
Brooklyn Muslims...
and Brooklyn Hebrews...
Be careful randomly getting out of subway stations... you could end up in dodgy neighbourhoods.
Back to Manhattan... in and around 14TH STREET. The canyon looking up 5th Ave from 14th street is spectacular.
Union Square was hopping.
Some pics from around LOWER MANHATTAN.
Around the WTC Site.
Scootin' around the above ground SUBWAYS can provide some cool views. Thanks all for the tips.
Dusk views from BROOKLYN HEIGHTS.
New Year's Eve at TIMES SQUARE. Well, we got as far as 56th St.
2007 arrives and everyone heads home. It took us over 3 hours to get back to our hotel in New Jersey.
And finally, the creepy train ride back home through the foggy ADIRONDACKS.
That's it! Hope you enjoyed.
