These pictures bring back a lot of great memories! Seeing the pinball spot arcade. Spent many a day in there growing up and the fact we knew the owner Starvin Marvin . He lived in my building, he was pretty good to us kids even watched out for us.

I know downstairs never was! It was upstairs. And 83ish sounds about right.

I just remember it being a gay bar at one time or another and being told by a friend of mine that use too bounce at the works. When it was a straight bar they use to play records and we would shoot pool...shit even enjoy a joint from time to time in bathroom...Times have changed! lol.....Sorry...

Some of the best times of my young adult life was spent at the gas works. Great memories ,great Canadian bands! I forget the name of the bar that was on top of the works...If I remember correctly it kept flipping back and forth from a gay bar to a straight bar.
