    Toronto The Uptown Residences | ?m | 48s | Pemberton | Burka

Uurgh, that precast does not look so sexy on an overcast day. I guess nothing does though.

Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Bell Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

TIFF is always spread out across the city in a massive way, Lightbox is just the jewel in the crown. There are lots of venues for all sorts of TIFF events, I don't think space is going to be an issue.

    Toronto X The Condominium | ?m | 44s | Great Gulf | a—A

Reminds me of Spire's yellow swatches.

    Toronto First Canadian Place Rejuvenation | 298.08m | 72s | Brookfield | MdeAS Architects

there's a strip of tiles missing near the top of the tower, looks like it covers about 10 floors. Sort of an odd way to remove them, and I didn't see any workers up there.

    Toronto Casa | 147.52m | 46s | Cresford | a—A

I am very interested to see what the podium looks like when completed. All these Spire-ish buildings look very sexy from afar, but I think Casa is going to look sharp from top to bottom.

Murano Condos (Lanterra Developments) - Real Estate -

Flooding is part of the fun of moving in to a condo early. One day when I was leaving Spire via the stairwell I was greeted by a rather rapid waterfall cascading down God knows how many flights of stairs.

    Toronto Bloor Street Neighbourhood Condos | ?m | 32s | Cresford | Northgrave

With a few minor tweaks it would be lovely in a Soviet sort of way.

    Toronto Murano | ?m | 45s | Lanterra | a—A

What about Casa and Spire? They're all gorgeously anorexic, which I think is only okay for buildings. These (four) buildings are so sleek and simple I don't even know why I love them. I think that's a hallmark of a smart architect; the ability to inspire awe in someone without them really...

    Toronto Casa | 147.52m | 46s | Cresford | a—A

Spire is the same way. On the 45th floor the biggest penthouse has a views from 3 sides of the building, and the giant terrace (that no other unit has) can be clearly seen from the ground, facing west (the terrace is on the west side, I mean).

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

What I would like to see, instead of these buildings going un-constructed, is a return to the lower price point for these units before they raised them. A Hey, Look At That Economy, We Can't Afford To Screw You Anymore Sale.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I think its pH looks quite basic.

    Toronto Gläs Condos | ?m | 16s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Although I would like to think of myself as a private person, I rarely cover my windows simply because I paid for the view and I'm going to use it, gosh darn it.

    Toronto 155 Cumberland and 130 Bloor Street West | 88.69m | 21s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

Mmm floorplan porn, one of the lesser known porn types.

Ottawa MLS bid and Kanata stadium proposal

Sexy. Although I don't play either, I'm in favour of the soccer stadium instead of CFL. I'm glad to see Canadians embracing "the world's game". A stadium not in a suburb would be nice, but what can you do.

    Toronto 300 Front Street West | 156.05m | 49s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

That's the great thing about condos in places like this; they're relatively quiet when you're trying to sleep (if you like that sleeping nonsense), and although there may not be anything terribly exciting right outside your door, you don't have to go far to find something.
