Why is it necessary to replace the 'toe rail'?

This building should have been red brick like the Black Bull across the street. That would fit into the streetscape and be more of an HQ vibe than cheap suburban yellow. Looking down Bulwer - is there an uglier street in Toronto?

Bringing small retailers to the area by burying them deep inside the building? The streetscape around Aura is bland, to be generous. The previous parking lot at least offered some views. As it is we've got the inevitable bank branch. What if the small retailers fronted on to Yonge & Gerrard...

As always, the CN Tower looks like crap in all the aquarium shots. Gray/brown concrete with miscellaneous patches. Why don't they apply a finish like the Enwave stack on Elm St. Now that's a striking tower. Imagine how the CN Tower would look with a uniform colour surface.

Think they had some serious water issues with the site. The long ago buried Russell Creek runs right through it. They spent a lot of time with de-watering and anchors.

Anyone know what's going on with this one? They started excavating after a long delay, got down about 3 meters and abruptly stopped. All the equipment is still there but no activity for the past 2 weeks or so. Long Christmas vacation?

Think the next step is structural steel frame requiring a different crane. Should start moving again soon.
