Really mimic that other development just to the south (name eludes me).
 
The stacked box motif has really taken hold in this city. I prefer it when the stacks are slightly angled off from one another, or alternating materials/cladding come into play, but these don't look terrible... just extremely modular and somewhat perfunctory.
 
Yep, agreed. Though this building is using alternating materials and cladding--the catch is the lack of colour contrast. They're (maybe too) distinct in terms of materials and patterning, and too indistinct in terms of colour and contrast. The result is a building that looks more like a Total Recall set piece than anything genuinely modern or interesting.
