The Chatsworth has topped off at four storeys, with enclosure and exterior cladding progressing at the southeast corner of Chatsworth Drive and Duplex Avenue in Toronto’s Lawrence Park neighbourhood. Designed by Kirshenblatt Urban Architecture for Times Group Corporation, the condominium is taking on its finished character more than three years after UrbanToronto highlighted the start of construction in August, 2023.
Back in November, 2024, excavation is advancing across the west side. Steel soldier piles and horizontal timber lagging retain the perimeter as crews dig towards the two underground parking levels. A red tracked excavator sits on higher ground to the right. Stacked timber, shoring components, and drilling attachments occupy a staging area to the left.
By May, 2025, the underground garage takes shape around the centrally positioned tower crane, installed earlier that year. P2 is seen to the left with concrete walls and columns, while construction has advanced to P1 on the right, where we see formwork panels and rebar projecting towards grade.
From Chatsworth Drive in March, 2026, The Chatsworth has reached its full four storeys, revealing projecting balconies and upper-level step-backs. Exposed floor slabs and rectangular columns define the open structural bays, with temporary metal guards lining the slab edges. Insulation is seen on some ground-level columns.
In July, 2026, a closer view reveals limestone-coloured precast panels and moulded horizontal bands framing the stacked balcony openings. White weatherproofing remains exposed around upper-floor openings awaiting brick veneer and glazing, while the balcony soffits retain their unfinished concrete surfaces. Temporary guards secure the balconies ahead of glass and black aluminum railings. A hoist rises at the east end to the left.
This month, light buff brick veneer fills the wall sections above and between limestone-coloured precast panels and trim. Dark aluminum-framed glazing, divided by mullions, is installed in several second- and third-floor openings. Above the cornice, closely spaced metal studs outline the steeply sloping roof and its dormer openings, which will receive a mix of light and dark green slate.
At the centre of the site, enclosure work varies from bay to bay. A full-height scaffold tower provides access to the central projecting bay. The exposed metal roof framing above reveals the intersecting slopes and dormers that will complete the building’s upper silhouette.
The east elevation’s limestone-coloured precast panels now surround three stacked balconies. Crews work from an elevated platform at the third floor on the left, beside blue weatherproofing awaiting its exterior finish. White weatherproofing and additional blue membrane remain exposed across the third and fourth floors, while scaffolding lines the uppermost floor. Dark-framed windows are visible to the left and right of the balconies.
The Chatsworth stands 20.76m tall and will bring 30 condominium units to the neighbourhood.
