Nearly a year after UrbanToronto’s last update for the Edge Towers site in Mississauga in December, 2024, its first two buildings of now stand completed at 35 and 40 storeys, while Oro, its third and tallest phase at 50 storeys, now rises well above grade. Designed by Rosario “Roy” Varacalli with Cusimano Architect for Solmar Development Corp, the buildings are situated between the future Fairview and Burnhamthorpe stops on Mississauga's Hurontario–Main Line 10 LRT.

In September, 2025, this view looking south across the Hurontario Street and Elm Drive intersection shows Oro’s podium structure advancing across the full width of the site, with the concrete frame standing at six storeys and work underway on the seventh-floor slab. Formwork and recently poured concrete columns and walls are visible at the north end of the seventh floor. Two cranes can be seen, the second one having been installed in March, 2025. Edge 1 and Edge 2 stand completed in behind at right.

Viewed across Hurontario Street in October, 2025, newly stripped decking exposes the fresh slab while perimeter side-forms outline the upcoming step-back at the seventh floor, framed by formwork. Shoring posts line the lower levels. Below, white cladding panels have begun to be installed. Edge 2 rises behind, the 40-storey tower standing in the middle of the trio.

Looking east across Elm Drive West, the lower podium of Oro shows substantial cladding progress, with the precast cladding, matching that of Edge 1 and Edge 2, now installed across most of the podium’s first five levels. Above, the structure transitions to the stepped-back tower levels now under construction.

Looking south across the site this month, decking is in place for the eighth-floor slab and formwork is positioned for the ninth floor above. The white concrete boom pump stands along the right side of the frame. On the Elm Drive West elevation, the construction hoist climbs through the recessed central bay, flanked by two podium sections where the white precast cladding has risen three storeys on the left and five on the right.

Seen from acrossHurontario Street, Oro’s podium advances with a largely uniform stretch of cladding along the Hurontario elevation, with only the corner on the left still awaiting enclosure. The southeast end shows the more substantial step-back where the seven-storey volume is taking shape before the podium transitions again toward the slimmer tower floors set to rise closer to Elm Drive West. Two cranes serve the build: the far one on the 50-storey tower footprint, and the closer one dedicated to the 12-storey mid-rise component.

Once finished, Oro will deliver 614 condominium units.
