Amexon Development Corporation is celebrating a trio of international honours for Missoni Sky, its fashion-inspired collaboration with the iconic Italian design house. The project’s presentation gallery has captured global attention, winning awards in Paris, London, and Toronto, for its fusion of art, architecture, and interior design. The recognition highlights Amexon’s growing reputation for design-led development, with Missoni Sky as the first Missoni-branded residential project in Canada.
At the DNA Paris Design Awards 2025, Missoni Sky’s presentation gallery stood out as the winner in the Interior Design category, recognized for its integration of fashion and architecture. Conceived by Toronto’s II BY IV DESIGN, the immersive space offers a multisensory journey that brings Missoni’s artistic identity to life through pattern, texture, and light. Principals Dan Menchions and Keith Rushbrook accepted the award in Paris, where the jury praised the gallery’s originality and its translation of Missoni’s design language into a spatial experience.
Across the Channel, Missoni Sky earned further acclaim at the 2025 Society of British & International Interior Design (SBID) Awards in London, taking home the Best of Region distinction. The jury commended the project’s visual storytelling and expressive presentation of its design vision, recognizing how the collaboration captures Missoni’s signature energy within a residential context. Competing alongside entries from more than 40 countries, the Toronto project found success at one of the industry’s most prestigious events.
Back home, Missoni Sky continued its winning streak at the 2025 Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) Awards of Distinction, where it received the title of Best Presentation Centre. Presented during the annual gala in Toronto, the award recognized Amexon’s commitment to innovation and craftsmanship within Ontario’s homebuilding sector.
The series of international accolades highlights the creative partnership between Amexon, Missoni, and II BY IV DESIGN, each bringing a distinct discipline to the project’s unified vision. From the gallery’s tactile finishes to its layered lighting, every element is intended to reflect Missoni’s celebrated use of colour and form.
“We are thrilled to receive these three awards,” said Ashling Evans, General Manager of Real Estate Development at Amexon. “They all acknowledged our shared vision with Missoni to create spaces that truly embody the Missoni spirit. It's gratifying to see this recognized by the international industry at large.”
Set to rise 68 storeys at 225 Jarvis Street, Missoni Sky will bring 972 residential and hotel suites to Toronto’s King-Jarvis Design District. Designed by Core Architects, the tower’s brick-framed podium will house boutique retail, a restaurant, and a hotel, transitioning into a glass-and-steel facade that tapers as it ascends. Interiors weave Missoni’s patterns and colour palette throughout shared spaces and suites, while Cosburn Nauboris Landscape Architects shape terraces and outdoor lounges with artful plantings. Planned amenities include saltwater pools, fitness studios, and gardens, complemented by solar panels, green roofs, and EV-ready parking.
The international success builds on Amexon’s record of award-winning developments. In 2023, The Residences at Central Park earned the OHBA People’s Choice Award for Project of the Year and was named Best Sustainable Residential Development in Canada at the IPAX Americas Property Awards.
