It's good to see so many people in this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor globalexpress that would normally be just infrastructure and cars. Taken last Sunday when cyclists took over the Gardiner Expressway for the Baycrest Bike for Brain Health ride, a construction crew was also taking over the Lakeshore East rail corridor for ongoing GO Expansion OnCorridor Works, including installing a temporary utility bridge over Cherry Street. Work here will increase capacity in the corridor to allow for both higher GO Train and VIA Rail frequency in the future. The Gardiner has since been reclaimed by motor vehicles.
