The sign at the Fairmont Royal York has long been one of the most prominent in Downtown Toronto. In fact, before the area south of Union Station was filled with skyscrapers, you could see this sign (or its predecessor which simply said 'Royal York') from the Toronto Islands. While it's much more hemmed in now, it's still one of the more impressive sights on our skyline, and thanks to this drone image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor hawc, we can seen it from closer up than ever.
