Located just across the Don River from the northwest corner of Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue East, The Residences at Central Park by Amexon Development Corporation is a new master-planned condo community, conveniently located right next to Leslie subway and Oriole GO stations for easy access to the rest of the city.

The CORE Architects-designed project will consist of four condo towers, a mid-rise, and 320,000 ft² of newly designed creative office space, all arranged around a central, three-acre park that will offer year-round outdoor events and activities. At the base of the buildings will be ground floor retail and restaurants, which will bring life to the community's public realm.

The first phase of the project is a standalone glass tower located at the centre of the site, backing onto the Don River. It is now open for sales to registrants at the brand new presentation centre located at 1200 Sheppard Avenue East.

UrbanToronto took a trip to see the presentation centre, in search of what the master planned development will eventually come to offer. Our first story covered general programming of the development, while here we delve into the details of what will be offered in terms of the suite interiors.

A scale model of the first phase can be seen below, standing tall beyond a model of the larger development. Designed by renowned architect Deni Poletti of CORE Architects, the first phase will rise 31 storeys tall, the balconies marked by leaf-like design details inspired by, and responding to the surrounding natural ravine.

The phases that follow the first will feature a similar look.

The tower offers 306 suites that range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom plus den, in 21 different layouts that are 439 ft² to 1,200 ft² in area. Suite layouts, all named after trees that grow in the area such as Pine, Maple, and Chestnut, are on display at one end of the presentation centre.

The flow-through floor plans are designed to capture the maximum effect of naturally lit spaces and beautiful views, and each suite will be fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows that are meant to disappear into the background and blur the line between indoors and outdoors. Suites will feature oversized outdoor balconies, offering vistas of the East Don Parkland and the surrounding city.

The interiors of the suites by II BY IV DESIGN boast 9-foot-high, smooth-finish ceilings and will feature high-end appointments including European-inspired kitchen cabinetry, and granite or quartz-surface slab countertops. Features of the kitchen include soft-close cabinet drawers and doors, kitchen islands, built-in electric cooktop, integrated dishwasher and fridge with cabinetry-matching front panels, under-cabinet integrated lighting, and built-in stainless steel oven, microwave oven, and under-mount sink.

Purchasers will have the option to choose from a darker palette...

Expect to see premium tile, custom-designed laminate vanities by II BY IV DESIGN, along with backlit mirrors in the washrooms, in addition to porcelain Kohler toilets and sinks fitted with chrome fixtures.

Most suites' master bathrooms will feature a frameless glass-enclosed shower with premium tile interior and rainfall shower head, while some will also feature a freestanding porcelain tub with a wall-mounted bath filler and handheld spray. Pictured below, there is also an option to have a tv screen installed within the mirror so that residents can enjoy a show while relaxing in the tub.

The principal bedroom of each suite will feature well-designed walk-in closets with fully built-out wood panelled cabinets that boast integrated lighting, and be as functional as they are beautiful.
