Gairloch Developments is launching Leaside Common, a new mid-rise condominium featuring a bold masonry design to be constructed at 1718 Bayview Avenue in Toronto's Leaside neighbourhood. Standing 9-storeys and 31.5 metres in height, the BDP Quadrangle-designed building will feature a predominantly dual-tone brick facade, and will make for a grand presence in the community when complete.

The facade of the building will be marked by distinctly vertical windows, demonstrating a well-balanced front that is pleasing to the eye. Balconies will house integrated planters and offer great city views to the west that are guaranteed to remain unobstructed for years to come over established low-rise, densely treed neighbourhood. On the east side of Bayview Avenue is neighbouring park space, and the heritage homes lining the curvilinear streets of Leaside.

Leaside Common will appear as two separate buildings attached by a glass-encased lobby and common spaces. The central connection will offer a shared open space on each floor that will bring both sides of the development together. Not only will this space function as a lobby on the ground floor, and common spaces on upper floors, but it will also function as a co-working lounges. Interiors will be designed by Sixteen Degree Studio Inc. and feature a contemporary, elegant design.

Leaside Common's amenities will include a multi-purpose party room that features a direct link to outdoor barbecues and dining amenities. The communal workplaces that will have ample natural lighting from west-facing windows. There will also be a gym and sauna overlooking Bayview Avenue, as well as a pet wash station, entertainment room, and child play space.

Upon its targeted completion in 2025, Leaside Common will be home to 198 units that will range from studios to three-bedroom penthouse suites, including 10 townhomes at its base. The new development will be just steps from the much anticipated Bayview Crosstown LRT station.
