At the southwest corner of Islington Avenue and The Queensway, Verge Condominiums will change the neighbourhood. The community from RioCan Living—RioCan REIT's 2018-launched residential sub-brand—will be built out with Turner Fleischer Architects-designed buildings of 9, 10, 11, and 17 storeys, with heights ranging from 38.15 up to 62.7 metres. The first phase is 10-storeys.

The initial phase will bring 203 new residences to the site, while the second will bring another 341, with the units of both ranging from 430 ft² to 1,060 ft². The first phase has done very well, and RioCan is now encouraging registration for phase two of the development which will be launching later this fall. In the meantime, we're taking a look at the renderings of phase one's selection of amenities, created by interior designers at DesignAgency. These spaces offer a modern, eclectic design with clean lines, and featuring pops of colour.

Amenities at Verge have been designed with a goal of making working from home more doable and enjoyable for residents following lifestyle changes that resulted from the pandemic. These amenities include creative work from home spaces like home offices, meeting rooms, soundproof phone booths, a video-ready content studio with pull-down backdrops and green screens, and an audio-recording studio for podcasts and other presentations.

Verge Condos will also include many more typical amenities for its residents to take advantage of, including a fitness centre and yoga-meditation studio, a pet spa, a party room, and a cocktail lounge.

The condo complex will also feature a collection of outdoor spaces, including an outdoor terrace with grilling areas, life-sized chess and shuffle boards, a children's jungle gym, and an outdoor lounge fitted with a fire pit.
