Options is looking to hire our Head of Sales & Marketing

Reporting to our Chief Development Officer, you will hold responsibility for providing strategic oversight of our Sales and Marketing functions.  You will be responsible for achieving quarterly and annual project sales goals, developing distribution channels, building strategic business relationships, formulating and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies and providing vision for all sales and marketing strategies and their execution. What You’ll Be Doing:

Leadership

  • Advocate for staff and clients through delivering on the organization’s mission and values
  • Ensure that direct reports are inspired, coached, supervised and properly resourced and developed to remain optimally engaged and productive
  • Influence and inspire business partners, stakeholders and other departments, as needed, to drive results and achieve organizational strategic goals
  • Lead and drive Marketing & Sales strategy at the project level and corporately. 
  • Collaborate with the Options Leadership Team to develop strategic plans
  • Develop the annual budget and operating plan for Sales and Marketing departments
  • Shape and role model the desired culture in keeping with the OFH mission and values
  • Conduct regular review of organizational talent and plan for ongoing succession
  • Provide input into key organizational decisions
  • Engage in evaluation of potential development projects
  • Stay abreast of changes in regulations and general GTA market updates
  • Remain closely connected to the real estate industry and market in the GTA and monitor changes and trends
  • Ongoing organizational advocacy and stakeholder relations

 

Sales

  • Overall accountability for sales results at each project
  • Integrate with the development team during the design stages to ensure product is optimized for market demand
  • Provide strategic oversight of the Sales function and manage the Sales teams, both internal and external, to achieve timely sales of development projects
  • Drive sales innovation and develop and manage sales operations processes and policies to optimize efficiency
  • Accountable for management of sales budget and pipeline
  • Oversight of sales conversion process including ongoing analysis and strategy of conversions
  • Contribute to establishment of pricing, premiums, second mortgage, additional funding and all other elements that affect pricing for units in development

 

Marketing

  • Overall accountability for delivery of a cost-effective marketing strategy and a continually robust client pipeline
  • Provide strategic oversight of the Marketing function and manage the Marketing team while ensuring that external creative partners are delivering optimal value
  • Responsible for ensuring evidence-based market intelligence is gathered and used for marketing project decision making
  • Participate in land acquisition due diligence process through provision of relevant market intelligence and revenue projections
  • Accountable for consistency of all brand messaging 
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners 
  • Develop and execute corporate and project marketing plans
  • Ensure documentation for project setup is consistent and accuracy of project marketing is maintained
  • Accountable for management of marketing budget, 
  • Manage department resources as an internal creative support to other departments, as determined by the CDO or CEO.
  • Conduct market research and stay up to date with identifying marketplace trends in both product and message delivery
  • Ensure Marketing services are provided in keeping with our commitment to service excellence both internally and externally

 

What You Bring:

  • 4-year business administration degree (Marketing) or related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity, in sales or marketing capacity specifically in new construction real estate industry
  • Ability to create sales and marketing plans for both corporate matters and development projects
  • Understanding of financial reports including budgetary guidelines and project expenditures
  • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet programs and applications
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
