The blocks surrounding Wilson subway station in the Toronto borough of North York are being rapidly filled out by a cluster of new residential developments, a handful of which are from developer Collecdev. The developer's latest contribution to the area, known as Nordic Condos, recently started construction on a site a few hundred metres east of the subway station along Wilson Avenue, and will eventually bring a block of mid-rise residential buildings designed by gh3 to the site.

The first activity here was spotted back in Summer, 2020, with the start of demolition for a four-storey commercial building at 530 Wilson Avenue and a pair of four-storey rental apartment buildings at 470 and 490 Wilson. Early work for the site's geothermal energy system also commenced. Site clearing was completed by the end of 2020, with shoring rigs arriving in the new year. By February, excavation began to carve across the site, starting in the east and moving westward to a depth of 9.9 metres below grade.

Nordic reached its most recent milestone in mid-April, when a tower crane was erected at the east end of the pit, secured atop a concrete footing that marked the first concrete pours. The crane is now advancing the forming process, with the most recent photos of the site showing recent progress just south of the crane: rebar cages are in place for the first foundation pour, and the first wall form has been placed for the upcoming two-level underground garage.

The area currently being formed at the far east end of the site is where the complex's rental building will rise. It will be 12 storeys tall like the condos to the west, and is to contain 160 rental units, replacing those lost from the rental buildings that were cleared to make way for the redevelopment. More cranes will soon be erected for the condo buildings to the west.

Nordic is to rise 41 metres high, with a total of 429 condominium along with 160 rental replacement units.
