In Toronto's Regent Park community, construction is moving along at the site of The Daniels Corporation's Artworks Tower and Artsy Boutique Condos project on the northwest corner of River and Dundas streets. The BDP Quadrangle and Kirkor Architects-designed project suffered a setback in August when a jib arm collapsed on a crane at the site—thankfully there were no injuries due to the mechanical failure—and now, with construction having restarted late last year, progress can be seen again on the project.

With a new crane installed, forming activity is progressing again, including the recent forming of the first of the east tower floors, where the complex's taller building will rise 33 storeys over the River and Dundas intersection. The speed of forming iwill increase in the coming months, as crews develop a rhythm of forming the largely repeating floor layouts. The GIF below morphs views of the site awaiting its new crane in late 2020, to the start of 2021, and finally to mid-February 2021.

Over at the west side of the site, the final sections of the three-storey podium that will support the 11-storey Artsy Boutique Condos are now coming together. In preparation for the start of the fourth-floor slab, crews are laying floor forms that will support the next level's coming concrete pour.

Once complete this project will bring 440 more residential units to a transformed Regent Park neighbourhood. Anchoring these units to the revitalized Dundas East streetscape, the building is set to host new ground-floor retail space.
