Brandy Lane HomesThe Davies has just celebrated a construction milestone on a stretch of Avenue Road just north of Dupont in Toronto's Summerhill area. The CMV Group architects-designed boutique condominium development has been under construction since early 2018, rose above street level late last year, has since climbed nine storeys, and is now topping out at its final height of 30 metres.

We last checked in on construction in February following the completion of forming of the building’s three-level underground garage, while the first above-grade progress was taking shape. The ninth and final residential floor was formed in June, and some weeks later, the mechanical penthouse and roof terrace structure have now been formed, bringing the building to structural completion.

Another recent milestone has been the start of installation of the building's exterior envelope. The first panels of cladding—a clear, Low-E glazing along with off-white spandrel panels in pre-finished aluminum frames—were spotted in mid-June. Installation of the panels has accelerated in the weeks since. Photos from mid-July show cladding in place as high as the fourth floor, while newer aerial footage shows that finishes have since been installed up to level five. The cladding materials will soon be joined by a surrounding frame of clay brick veneers in a buff finish, and clear tempered balcony guards with aluminum railings.

A drone video provided by Brandy Lane Homes puts the current construction progress into wider context, while also offering a rare glimpse of the newly-formed roof slab and mechanical penthouse level.

Once construction has wrapped up, the project will bring a limited collection of just 36 luxury condominium units to the site, all coming with spacious multi-bedroom layouts ranging in area from 1,100 ft² to approximately 3,000 ft².
