We recently took a look at the new second phase of the 'Distrikt Trailside' condominium development in North Oakville from Distrikt Developments and Fiera Properties. Following on the heels of the first phase of the Kirkor Architects-designed community, Distrikt Trailside 2.0. will bring another 333 condominium and townhome units to this urbanizing area.

The nerve centre of the project's ongoing marketing is the Trailside presentation centre, located at 349 Lakeshore Road East in Oakville's charming downtown. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the presentation centre is currently closed to walk-ins, so we're taking a virtual trip inside to check out the space. Outfitted by figure3 Interior Design, the company was awarded for it with the Gold prize for the Best Presentation Centre at The National Sales and Marketing Awards in January.

The exterior is textured modern minimalism that highlights the warmth and details of the interior through expansive glazing. Designed in a style similar to the complex's amenity spaces, the presentation centre boasts a mix of inviting wood finishes with strong, clean linear patterns.

Beyond the scale model, a prominent millwork arch with integrated bookcase divides the primary marketing space from a lounge suited to one-on-one conversations between potential purchasers and sales staff.

The presentation centre provides suite vignettes and finish display boards with which purchasers can make informed decisions about their new suites, while the space also offers a preview of the development's personal AI assistant feature. Known as 'Distrikt AI', this smart home feature allows residents to do everything from keeping track of energy usage to receiving parcel notifications.
