Several projects are under construction as part of the mixed-income redevelopment of Toronto's Regent Park neighbourhood, including market condominium buildings now rising as part of the revitalization's third phase. One such project at the northwest corner of Dundas and River streets from The Daniels Corporation just passed a construction milestone, a two-building condominium complex at known as Artworks Tower.

We last checked in on construction of the Quadrangle-designed development—consisting of 11 and 33-storey condominium towers—in early February, when forming had reached the final underground floor and forms had been put in place for the complex's ground floor.

Two months later, the ground floor slab has largely been poured, and currently the east end of the site along River Street, where several walls and supporting columns have begun to shape the first floor, is furthest along. The ground level will be followed by two equally large podium levels before the towers begin their climb to heights of 42 and 106 metres above Dundas Street East.

Aerial views of the site show that work lags a bit behind at the west end of the site fronting Tubman Avenue. Forming here continues for the final level of the three-level underground garage, a task now nearing completion.

As the complex crosses this important milestone, The Daniels Corporation has begun to market the complex’s boutique 11-storey building, now being referred to as Artsy Boutique Condominiums. Additional details concerning the second phase are expected to be released in the coming months.
