Last month we introduced the next phase of Distrikt Developments and Fiera Properties' 6-acre 'Distrikt Trailside' community in North Oakville, dubbed Distrikt Trailside 2.0, and we toured its award-winning presentation centre. Today we're taking a look at some of the amenity spaces that will be available to residents in the second phase building and blocks of townhomes that will bring 333 more homes to the Kirkor Architects-designed community.

Residents will be treated to over 15,000 ft² of indoor and outdoor amenities, the interior spaces appointed by figure3 Interior Design, and outdoor ones featuring landscaping work by Adesso Design.

Our recent tour through the presentation centre introduced us to the warm, textured design aesthetic that will be common to the amenities, which include the grand lobby, the first space to greet residents and their visitors. It will boast double height ceilings, a concierge desk, lounge seating, a curving feature staircase, a lush full-wall floral print, and a mix of stone and wood finishes. Outside the lobby doors, retail spaces accessed from the sidewalk are being curated to host lifestyle-specific retailers.

The luxurious aesthetic carries over to the lounge, which includes the bar area rendered below, decorated with a similar mix of wood, stone, and a floral screen feature wall.

The space shown above includes a large expanse of floor-to-ceiling glass that opens out onto a landscaped and furnished terrace.

The decorative themes are also present in the building's fitness centre, complementing the surrounding networks of ravines and trails from which the community draws its name. Here, residents will have access to a selection of fitness equipment in a double-height space with floor-to-ceiling windows that will fill the gym with natural light.
