The 2018 completion of a 24-storey condominium tower marked the first building in Concert Properties' new Kip District community, a large-scale redevelopment on Toronto's Dundas Street West, steps from Kipling subway and GO stations in Etobicoke. To the northeast of the completed first phase, the next two buildings are being built along the diamond-shaped site's Dundas Street West frontage.

The second and third buildings in the five-tower, Quadrangle-designed community will bring over 500 combined condominium and apartment buildings to the site, with a 24-storey condominium building containing 286 condominium units to the west, and a 21-storey purpose-built rental building containing 223 apartments to the east. These buildings will be separated by a landscaped courtyard.

Work on the new buildings has been ongoing since August of last year, when shoring rigs arrived to begin drilling for the site’s earth retention system. This was followed by excavation for an extension of the two-level underground garage built for the first phase. The existing garage’s east end is currently walled by a series of knockout panels, which can come down to connect with the new phase’s parking levels.

Recently, a pair of cranes were installed, and forming began for the new section of parking garage below the phase two buildings. Forming is furthest along on the footprint of the west tower, where columns are largely in place for the lower P2 level, and the first floor forms and columns have begun to take shape for the P1 level. Meanwhile the first P2 columns have appeared below the east tower's footprint.
