This week's Throwback Thursday takes us to Bay and Gerrard in Downtown Toronto, comparing two views captured just shy of seven years apart. A March, 2013 northeast-facing view from Bay Street just south of Gerrard looked towards the rising Aura at College Park. This condominium tower was well on its way towards becoming Canada's tallest and largest residential building at 78 storeys at the corner of Yonge and Gerrard, and would top out later that year.

Fast forward to January, 2020, and a slightly different angle captures the changes. The now-complete Aura at College Park stands 272 metres tall in the background, while the surface parking lot shown in the 2013 view above has since been developed: the southeast corner of Bay and Gerrard is now home to The Livmore, a 43-storey luxury rental tower completed in 2018.

We will return next week with another look at the changing face of Toronto. In the meantime, you can submit your own Throwback Thursday comparisons in our dedicated Forum thread for your chance to be featured in next week's edition.
