ZEN King West, a 31-storey, IBI Group-designed condominium tower from CentreCourt, is rising on Strachan Avenue where Toronto's King West Village touches Liberty Village, Garrison Point, and the Fort York-Niagara neighbourhood, and where there is currently a collection of towers under construction.

We last checked in on the project's construction progress at the start of November, 2019. At that time, concrete reached as high as the 24th floor. Since then, forming has progressed another seven floors, where crews are now working on the 31st and final residential floor. Once this last residential floor is poured, a mechanical penthouse will follow, bringing the tower to its full height of 103 metres within the coming weeks.

Cladding installation has been making steady progress in the past three months. When we last checked in at the beginning of November, cladding had been installed as high as the 15th floor. An additional eight levels have since been enclosed, and the crews are now installing exterior finishes on level 24. ZEN is being finished in a window wall system containing floor-to-ceiling reflective vision glazing and dark spandrel panels framed in black aluminum.

One exterior element that had yet to be installed when we last checked in were the tower's glazed balcony guards. Balconies are now being finished in transparent glass guards with a slight blue tint matching the main cladding. The guards are now installed on the lower half of the tower, following six floors behind the building envelope.
