Next week, The Buildings Show returns for its annual visit to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Downtown Toronto, the three-day convention highlighting emerging technologies that should have far-reaching impacts on the development industry and related supporting industries. Running December 4th through 6th, the event is hailed as North America's largest event in its category for products, services, educational programming, and professional networking. UrbanToronto is serving as the official media partner.
This year's newly-added main event will be the Buildings Connect Showcase, a new property technology, or "PropTech" conversation presented by Colliers Proptech Accelerator powered by Techstars. The showcase will act as a means to connect PropTech companies ranging from design to construction to property management, providing networking and educational opportunities for guests looking to advance innovation in new development.
Like at previous years' events, The Buildings Show 2019 will offer seminars focusing on the impacts of new technology solutions across all the major real estate industry sectors. These include talks from industry professionals covering topics ranging from investment and development to construction and design, to property management, to leasing and sales. Seminars will also cover topics like smart buildings, smart cities, big data, privacy, and cybersecurity as projects like Sidewalk Toronto provoke new questions on the relationships between development and data.
The Buildings Show exhibition will also feature the Construct Canada show, the World of Concrete Toronto Pavilion, the PM Expo, and the Homebuilder & Renovator Expo, each covering a specific aspect of the overlapping design, construction, and real estate industries.
