Half a kilometre west of Eglinton and Kipling in the Toronto borough of Etobicoke, Park Property Management has submitted a rezoning application proposing a pair of infill rental buildings to accompany two tower-in-the-park rental towers that currently make up 63 Widdicombe Hill.

Unlike a number of other tower-in-the-park infill proposals in the city which seek to urbanize the fabric of the area by building additional towers right up to the street with pedestrian oriented retail, this project more closely reflects the typology of the existing towers. The strategy maintains the purely residential use of the site, fitting in with the suburban character of the area. (A local plaza with grocery store is within walking distance at the southeast corner of Widdicombe Hill and Eglinton.)

Tower A follows the curve of Widdicombe Hill Boulevard, heading northeast from Eglinton at the west end of the block. Rising 9 storeys, the building would house 133 rental units. Tower B mimics the three-pronged shapes of the existing structures for its 6 storey podium, then rising to a total of 18 storeys in a central volume above. 272 rental units would be located in this component of the project. The units are proposed in a mix of 21 bachelor, 118 one-bedroom, 204 two-bedroom and 62 three-bedroom. 996 Parking spaces would be located in an expanded below-grade parking garage serving all four buildings.

Designed by Quadrangle, the buildings employ light beige precast cladding and punched windows on the façade. While projecting balconies punctuate the tower elevation, the podium levels are characterized by inset balconies.
