It's been roughly seven months since we last checked in on the construction of East United Condos at Adelaide and Parliament on the east side of Downtown Toronto. The 24-storey Giannone Petricone Associates-designed development for SigNature CommunitiesBerkshire Axis Development, and Andiel Homes was closing in on its final height at the time of our January update. It topped out at 83 metres a few months later in April, 2019.

Cladding installation was still in its early stages at the time of our January, 2019 update, and the tower has since been fully enclosed in a window wall cladding system consisting of clear glazing and opaque grey back-painted spandrel panels, with the podium clad in a mix of glass and masonry. The completion of the primary building envelope is allowing interior work to move forward including installation of electrical and plumbing elements, and subsequent suite fit-outs.

The window wall finishes are now being joined by a mix of clear and multi-colour balcony glazing on the lower floors of the tower, while red vertical accents connecting balcony slabs now cover the majority of the tower's north, south, and west facades.

Along the Berkeley Street frontage, the preserved facades of the two-storey Christie, Brown & Co. Stables building have been integrated into the project's podium. This area of the building will be home to 824 m² of commercial office space, while the Parliament Street frontage is set to include 207 m² of retail space.
