As construction wraps up on the first phase of LJM DevelopmentsWaterview Condominiums in Grimsby, details of the development's follow-up phases are being revealed. The second and third phases of the Icon Architects-designed development will share building two, set to rise 15 storeys above the QEW's North Service Road. Marketing is now getting underway for the project's third phase, dubbed the Tower Residences at Waterview, which will occupy the tower's upper volume, on levels 10 through 15.

It was previously announced that the project would celebrate an official launch this summer. With sales already in progress, it has been determined that an official launch is no longer necessary, and LJM is instead accepting reservations to buy into the project on a first come first served basis. Coming in a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and penthouse suites, the Tower Residences is offering just 48 condominium units in an increasingly heated Hamilton/Burlington housing market. Combined with the 130 suites housed in phase two, and the 82 units nearing completion in phase one, the new release of suites will bring the nascent community's total unit count up to 260.

While the first phase of the community featured a single-loaded unit layout positioning all suites on the north side facing Lake Ontario, and hallways to the south, the second building's south facade opens up at the building's west end. In addition to allowing for better views, the presence of windows on all sides of the development's upper volume will allow more natural light to penetrate the units. The remaining east end of the structure—housing the second phase of suites—retains the single-loaded layout introduced for the first building.

Tower Residences at Waterview's units will be served by a collection of amenity spaces, including a fitness centre, a party room, and an outdoor rooftop garden space offering views across Lake Ontario to the north towards the Toronto skyline. The inclusion of heated underground parking will be an important convenience in a neck of the woods where the car is still king, allowing motorists within the development to easily begin their commutes without needing to step into a cold car.
