Northeast of Kennedy Road and Highway 401, Tridel's Metrogate community has transformed an expansive tract of land with new condominium and townhome units. With five condo towers already built and a sixth soon to break ground, the seventh and final tower in the Metrogate community is now being marketed. Dubbed 'Selene,' the 31-storey, Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed condominium tower will contribute an additional 296 new homes to the community, sized between 565 ft² and 1,040 ft², with prices starting from $279,000.

Since the mid-2000s, the Metrogate presentation centre on Village Green Square has served as the sales hub for each of the community's phases. With the bulk of units at Avani2 now sold and construction slated to begin in early 2017, the presentation centre is being converted to represent Selene.

While the presentation centre's finishes and details—including a scale model of the project—are still yet to materialize, a former model suite is using a unit layout from the Avani development to show off the features and finishes offered for units at Selene.

The model depicts an open concept floorpan—similar to those offered at Selene—containing one bedroom, a den, two bathrooms, and a combined kitchen and living room area. A look around this space reveals many of the interior features advertised for the development, including plank laminate floating floor with acoustic underlay, and interior doors with brushed chrome levers.

The suite's kitchen mockup details a finish package featuring warm wood grain cabinetry, which is one of the numerous finishes available for the designer kitchen cabinetry. Kitchens also offer the option of granite or quartz countertops, and the choice between glass or ceramic tile backsplash.

A naturally lit living room space provides visitors to the suite insight into how changing daily lighting conditions will be affected by units' floor-to-ceiling glazing. Suites at Selene will have thermally isolated aluminum window frames with double pane, sealed glazed units. Awning windows will be operable, allowing residents to let fresh air into each living space.

A den is also included in the suite mockup, showing a warmer set of finishes that stands in contrast to the adjacent living room space pictured above.

The model suite's bedroom and ensuite bathroom also adhere to a warmer palette of tones, with natural wood finishes serving as a suggestion of one of the many ways residents will be able to furnish their spaces.
