Marketing for The Daniels Corporation's latest condominium in its highly touted redevelopment of Toronto's Regent Park neighbourhood continues, with the latest renderings giving us a fuller look at 'The Wyatt', a 27-storey building designed by KPMB Architects. We got our first glimpse of the project's IBI Group-designed interiors last month, but the new renderings focus on the development's public realm along Dundas and a new neighbourhood street named in hour of Harriet Tubman.

Fronting Dundas Street East and wrapping around the corner of Tubman Street, a double-height retail frontage will increase animation along Dundas near by where new retailers have opened in the One Park Place complex, where Daniels Spectrum keeps things hopping, and where the popular Paintbox Bistro has added new dimension to local dining and nightlife. Across the street is Regent Park Aquatic Centre and the Regent Park Central Park.

Adding more detail than the earlier rendering shown above, new images are providing close-up views of both the pedestrian realm and the material qualities of the ground floor. Wide tree-lined sidewalks and an outdoor patio space will create an inviting pedestrian environment around the building's podium. A glazed retail frontage gives way to a brick-clad exterior along Tubman Street, referencing the surrounding neighbourhood and the 1958-built Peter Dickinson-designed rental tower that formerly occupied the site, known as 605 Whiteside Place.

Along Tubman Street, a main entrance will serve as the front door for residents of the development's 342 condominium units. Natural wood finishes will complement the brick cladding, adding a warm presence at street level that contrasts with the lighter qualities of the glass-clad tower above.
