It has been a few months since an updated design was revealed for Symmetry, Fortress RDI and Engine Developments' Lake & East Condos, a 20-storey condominium tower coming to Bronte Village on Oakville's west side. With plans in place for the ambitious new development—featuring an avant garde design by Winnipeg-based 5468796 Architecture—marketing and registration for the project are now underway, along with new material that is providing further insight into the project's features.
5468796 Architecture's design for Lake & East is a bold spin on the familiar rectilinear condo tower massing with alternating sections of pre-finished anodized aluminum cladding and glazed balconies covered in vertical 'living walls'.
Lake & East, with In2ition Realty handing sales, is offering a total of 144 condominium units which range in size from 540 ft² to 1,800 ft², and in price from the low $300,000s to over $1 million. The project offers 41 one bedroom + den suites (sized at 65 m²), 21 two-bedroom suites (sized at 69.7 m²), 30 two-bedroom + den suites (sized at 79 m²), and 24 three-bedroom suites (sized at 88.3 m²), as well as 8 three-bedroom penthouse units (sized at 92.9 m²). The remaining 18 units—sized at 55.7 m²—are geared towards investors.
Residents of the development will have access to a number of on-site amenities, including a fitness centre with equipment including rowing machines, a flexible Yoga/Pilates/dance space, a library that opens onto the main lobby space, and an entertainment room offering a kitchenette, television, and table tennis. An outdoor mezzanine area will feature barbecue stations, seating, and community gardens. In addition to the residential amenities, the project will include 700 m² of retail space within the podium's ground level and mezzanine.
We will keep you updated as more details of the project emerge. In the meantime, make sure to check out our dataBase file for more information, including earlier renderings.
