Now over 75% sold out, Cityzen and Fernbrook's Tower at Pier 27 is set for a September construction launch, bringing a 35-storey architectsAlliance design to the foot of Toronto's Yonge Street. Located just north of the lakefront's recently completed Waterlink at Pier 27 buildings, the tower is intended as an iconic presence on the waterfront, with a jagged interplay of balconies making for a distinct aesthetic.

With sales launched last Summer, the 336-unit tower is now approaching the start of construction, a year since the project came on the market. Angled to overlook the Yonge Street slip to its west—the longtime former home of Captain John's Restaurant—Tower at Pier 27 will be the tallest development on the site, with its high-rise form rising well above the shorter buildings to its south.

Recognizable for its distinctive saw-tooth balcony pattern, the tower's massing—and balcony configuration—is designed to emphasize views of the water from the south, west, and east elevations. Just west of the new tower, the Pier 27 community will also have access new public park. The parking lot east of the Yonge Street slip will become a greenscaped pedestrian space, connecting to the waterfront promenade that fronts the Waterlink buildings.
