The cluster of high-rise condominium developments in Etobicoke's Humber Bay Shores community continues to grow larger. The latest addition to the neighbourhood skyline is Mattamy Homes and the Biddington Group's Riva del Lago, a Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed condominium development now topped off at 16 storeys on Etobicoke's waterfront.

Soon to add 155 new condominium suites to the burgeoning community, Riva del Lago is looking closer and closer to the finished product depicted in pre-construction marketing materials, as the installation of exterior details continues. Pre-assembled brick panels with a charcoal tone and sheen cover much of the building's five-storey podium structure, as work continues on the cladding of the tower portion above.

The ongoing installation of window wall cladding now seals off all but the final three residential levels of the building. Riva del Lago's main exterior statement, taking the form of alternating quadrants of black and white finishing materials, will continue to come together over the next several weeks. Once fully sealed off from the elements, work will continue on the building's interior spaces in advance of the first residential occupancies.

Complementing the underpainting of the residential balconies in alternating black and white, this design detail will be further accentuated by the installation of corresponding balcony glazing. The exterior work to be finished here can be seen an an acute "worm's-eye view" of the building captured from ground level.

Once construction is complete and the building is occupied, residents of Riva del Lago's 155 suites will have access to a 2-storey lobby facing Lake Ontario, a selection of on-site amenities, and even more amenities—including an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, and saunas—next door at Mattamy and Biddington's big sister 49-storey Lago at the Waterfront development.
