The St. Clair Avenue West site of Madison Homes and Fieldgate Urban's ZIGG Condos is abuzz with activity, as forming continues for the below-grade structure of the 11-storey, Kirkor Architects-designed condominium development. At the time of our last update in late-May, the first supporting columns were in place at the east end, while substrate was being laid for foundations along the west arm of the L-shaped site.

A few weeks later, the site looks completely different, with work now underway on the third level of the building's underground parking garage at the east end of the site.

At the west end of the site, while the walls and columns for the lowest level are up, the last section of that lowest floor was being poured and smoothed out when we photographed the site.

The arm of the mobile concrete pump can be seen above and below, placing liquid concrete.

The pump is fed by mixing trucks parked in a temporarily-closed lane of St. Clair.

To get liquid concrete to other parts of the site, bucketloads are also being hoisted by the site's tower crane.

ZIGG Condos has come a long way since the first demolition activity was spotted at the site in late 2015. Since then, the project saw the start of shoring in January this year, the start of excavation in February, and the start of below-grade forming in May.

The project’s next milestone is anticipated to take place in mid-July, when work should commence on the development’s ground level. Following that, ZIGG's aggressive construction schedule aims for structural completion by year's end, with the first residential occupancies by December 2017.
