Only one and half months since the start of digging, excavation is now nearing completion at the St. Clair Avenue West site of Madison Homes and Fieldgate Urban's ZIGG Condos, and crews are now preparing for the imminent installation of the tower crane for the 11-storey, Kirkor Architects-designed project.

The crane is expected to be erected on April 30th and May 1st, with the first formwork for the below grade levels slated to begin the following day on May 2nd. To facilitate the crane delivery and assembly, both eastbound lanes of traffic on St. Clair Avenue West will be shut down between Dunvegan Road and Poplar Plains Road. The complex task has been scheduled for a weekend to cause minimal traffic disruption.

While the excavation stage is nearing completion, there is still plenty of work remaining, primarily the removal of the temporary dirt ramp being used by construction vehicles and personnel to access the pit.

Once complete, (most recently projected for December 2017), ZIGG Condos will bring 166 new homes to St. Clair Avenue West. Units within the development will range in size from 500-1800 square feet. Amenity spaces will be appointed by DesignAgency.
