We are getting our first glimpse of renderings for First Avenue Properties and Latch Developments' The Bennett on Bayview, a condominium development featuring architecture by RAW Design. The development will bring a shot of new residential density to the established neighbourhoods along Bayview Avenue in North York, a short drive or bus ride north of Bayview Village and Bayview Subway Station on the Sheppard line.
We first learned of the project through a February 2015 rezoning application seeking a 14-storey condominium development at 3237 Bayview, the site of a former gas station on the east side of Bayview, not far north of Finch Avenue and beside the Bayview-Cummer Shopping Centre. While The Bennett is designed to add 542 square metres of retail on its own ground floor, residents here will appreciate being able shop for groceries, bank, take care of their pets, and eat out in the stores and restaurants of the adjacent plaza.
Information about The Bennett on Bayview is still emerging—the building will offer 165 residential suites—but we are still waiting for details about the amenities to be offered. With the project now registering, we can expect to see more renderings and details of the development in the near future.
In the meantime, you can check out the development's dataBase file, linked below, get into in the conversation by visiting the associated Forum threads, or leave a comment or question in the field provided at the bottom of this page.
