South of Toronto's downtown rail corridor, the area known as the South Core continues to grow as new high-rise additions rise into the skyline. In today's Photo of the Day, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Empty Quarter, we are shown two active construction sites in the South Core. The Sun Life Financial Tower can be seen topped off in the centre of the image, while the 65-storey Ten York can be seen across York Street to the west, now standing two storeys above grade.
