Toronto's building boom of the 1960s and 1970s brought us several notable landmarks, many of which adhere to the Brutalist style of modern architecture that was popular throughout the era. In today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Lori Whelan, we are shown the contrasting textures and tones of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) building at 252 Bloor Street West, designed by architect K.R. Cooper and competed in 1969.
