The start of shoring and excavation is imminent at the Weston and Lawrence site of First Avenue Properties’ W Towns. Now 75% sold, the pml.A-designed project will be adding 48 3-storey, 3 and 3.5 bedroom townhome units to the area, with prices starting at $399,900. With around a dozen units still up for grabs, the development's construction site has been cleared in advance of the arrival of construction crews.

To prepare the site for construction, the former vacant lot has had much of its asphalt surface and weed cover removed, leaving behind a blank canvas for crews to dig down. In the coming weeks, we expect to see the site's temporary plastic chickenwire fencing replaced with something more durable as heavy equipment starts to arrive.

With occupancy currently slated for Summer 2016, residents of the completed W Towns development will be located a short distance by foot from the Weston GO and UPX station, while highways 401 and 400 are conveniently located nearby for drivers. The project will also put its residents in close proximity to a number of parks lining the Humber River, including Raymore Park, Lion's Park, Memorial Park, Riverlea Park, and Cruickshank Park.
