It's time again for our Photo of the Month, where we present the highest rated Photo of the Day selection of the previous 4 weeks, along with the runner up, based on combined Facebook shares and Twitter re-tweets.
Both the winner and runner-up for August's Photo of the Month were captured from high-rise towers in the CityPlace/Fort York neighbourhood. The top photo of the month, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Ben Roffelsen, shows lightning illuminating the night sky, as seen from a condo balcony at Spadina and Lake Shore.
Our runner-up for August was captured just a few blocks to the west of the first place photo, from a condo tower immediately south of the Fort York National Historic Site and the Gardiner Expressway, and was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Giulio Calisse.
Special thanks to all of the talented photographers who submitted images over the course of August, and we are looking forward to what you come up with in September!
