Toronto's downtown core has undoubtedly changed over the past decade, with new office towers, hotels and condominiums joining the urban fabric of the city. This transformation is especially visible in the emerging Southcore neighbourhood, where 12 years ago, parking lots dominated the streetscape. 18 Yonge Condos, developed by Lanterra Developments, H&R Developments and Malibu Investments, was one of the first projects to kickstart development in the area. Way back on September 18, 2003, the site was preparing for construction, with a fence erected around the property.
Fast forward to July 30, 2015, and the Page + Steele/IBI Group Architects-designed 18 Yonge is not only complete, but it's been joined by several other towers, including Pinnacle Centre to the south.
