In the Kennedy Road and Highway 401 area of Scarborough, construction continues at the site of Tridel's Avani, part of the developer's master-planned Metrogate community. Avani will be joined by a second phase, Avani2, currently in its sales phase. Together, the twin 35-storey Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed condominium towers will add hundreds of new residents to the Metrogate area, joining those living in the four high-rise towers and townhouse blocks that already populate the new community.

Construction of the first phase is progressing swiftly, and the overhead live camera feed provided by Tridel gives us a great vantage point on the rising tower. Now standing at a height of 23 storeys, Avani's first phase is well over half way towards its final height of 35 floors.

The second phase tower will be built right beside the first, both sharing a three-storey podium that will offer a selection of amenities, to be known as 'Club Avani'. Club Avani will offer residents a fitness centre, Yoga studio, steam rooms, a fireplace lounge, private dining room with fully equipped prep kitchen, a billiards lounge, a theatre, and a large party room including ample seating and a bar area.

Another cool feature on the third floor will be the development's large outdoor lounge and dining area, with views overlooking Metrogate Park.

That park has already become a focal point at the centre of the new community, providing a landscaped green space and playground where residents can enjoy some fresh air and sunshine, and get to know their neighbours from the surrounding community.
