On Cordova Avenue, in the Bloor and Islington area of Etobicoke, developer Tridel is building a major new master-planned community to be called Islington Terrace. The Kirkor Architects Planners-designed development will include three soaring high-rise condominium towers, joined at their base by a shared podium.
Tower 1, in the middle of the complex, will rise 45 storeys, while Tower 2 and Tower 3 to either side will rise 35 and 38 storeys respectively.
Islington Terrace will offer its residents 50,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor amenity spaces at the Terrace Club, including spaces to unwind and socialize, including a party room with bar and lounge areas, a games room, a screening theatre, and a private dining room with an included catering kitchen.
Residents will also have access to a full slate of active amenities like a fitness centre with cardio work-out and free weights equipment, spinning and yoga studios, a basketball half-court, and an indoor swimming pool with adjacent whirlpool, steam room and sauna.
Just beyond the development's indoor pool, a landscaped rooftop amenity space with open green spaces will serve as a communal backyard for the development. This outdoor amenity area also offers a private sundeck, as well as barbecues and shaded dining areas.
Islington Terrace's amenity offerings are not just for adults, but also include spaces custom-tailored for children, including both an outdoor play zone with a splash pool and a year-round indoor play space.
The new community will be connected to Rogers Fiber 250 service, providing residents with ultra-fast internet connection speeds. Residents will also be well-connected to the real world too, with Islington Terrace situated just one block north of Islington Subway Station on the TTC's Line 2.
To get to the subway and the restaurants of Bloor Street, a new grand staircase will connect the development with Islington Avenue. Fitting its form to the topography, the switchback-style accessible ramp and stairs will feature landscaping that will change with the seasons.
