The master-planned development at Tridel's Metrogate community has already added four new high-rise condominium towers, a park and several townhomes to its corner of Scarborough at Kennedy and the 401, and the community continues to grow with the addition of Avani and Avani2. The twin 35-storey Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed towers will add more vitality to the former site of the Toronto Sufferance Truck Terminal.

The second phase, Avani2, is now in sales, offering 363 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom plus den, 2 bedroom and 2 bedroom plus den suites ranging in size between 469 square-feet and 827 square-feet, and starting from the low $200,000s. Residents of both Avani and Avani2 will enjoy several indoor and outdoor amenities, starting with lounge space on the ground floor.

Most of the residential amenity space will be found on the upper level of the development's shared podium, which is being built in phases. The right side of the amenity space depicted in the image below—the east side—is currently under construction as part of Avani, while the portion on the left will be built into Avani2.

This amenity level will contain a theatre, a party room with bar, lounge and kitchen, as well as a fitness centre with a yoga studio, change rooms and steam rooms.

The podium-top amenity floor will also offer residents outdoor lounge spaces to unwind and enjoy some fresh air.

Construction is already well under way on the first phase of Avani, with concrete now a few storeys above grade. In the image below, captured by the Avani live webcam this morning, we can see Avani rising. Immediately right of the rising structure is where Avani2 will rise once sales for the project conclude.

If you would like to learn more about Avani2, you can check out the project's presentation centre, located at 52 Village Green Square, off of Kennedy Rd., just north of Highway 401. The presentation centre is open from Monday to Friday: 11 AM to 7 PM, or 12 PM to 6 PM on weekends and holidays.
