Canada's Tech Triangle of Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge is attracting young and educated homebuyers from across the country, and new developments are answering the call for that demand. On the west side of Kitchener, Savic Homes is injecting the type of modern style these residents seek to the Highland West neighbourhood with their new Avalon Urban Towns development.

Urban style townhome developments are becoming increasingly popular. Often seen as the perfect middle ground between high-rise condominium and single-family type housing, a new generation of townhouses are growing more attractive to the types of homeowners who seek the modern style found in urban dwellings, without sacrificing the advantages of a single-family home. Designed by ABA Architects, the Avalon Urban Towns community will consist of 108 townhouses, arranged in three contemporary looking blocks, each containing 36 units.

A similar modern vibe will be apparent on the interiors of the development. Townhouses at Avalon will range in size from 668 square-feet up to 1,009 square-feet, with prices ranging from $199,900 to $289,000. Interior spaces at Avalon Urban Towns will be appointed by interior designers Dfy Studio, while outdoor spaces are the work of Adesso Design Inc..

Residents will enjoy rooftop terraces, as well as local amenities including a soon-to-be-built neighbourhood park featuring a playground and a half basketball court. Grocery shopping is a half-block walk away as are other convenience options. The Conestoga Parkway is a short drive from the site allowing free-flow access to the rest of the region or beyond to via the 401 to the GTA. Stratford's cultural jewels are just a half hour down the road in the opposite direction.
