Construction of the first phase of Triumph Developments' Howard Park Residences has hit another milestone—with cladding installation now under way—while topping off is coming up soon for the 8-storey condominium development designed by architects RAW Design. The multi-phased development is in the process of revitalizing an entire block Howard Park Avenue at Dundas, located in the hip and trendy Roncesvalles Village neighbourhood.
Cladding now covers most of the second level on the building's south façade, and photos from earlier today show a near-black aluminum framing around the untinted glass of the window wall system.
The cladding follows a sawtooth pattern, creating a line of triangular balconies for the building's residential suites. A detail shot below provides a close-up view.
The building is now close to structural completion, as the eighth and final residential floor was recently poured. There is now just the mechanical penthouse level left to construct before phase one is officially topped off.
The 81-unit first phase will be followed by a 96-unit second phase called Howard Park 2, currently in sales. Residents of both phases will be situated in an area very well served by transit, located near the King, College and Dundas streetcars, Dundas West Subway and Bloor GO stations, as well as a stop on the Union Pearson Express, slated to enter service next Spring. The area is also rich in cycling culture, and the bike lanes on Roncesvalles add even more transportation options to the already well-served location.
