A few months ago we covered the testing of the nighttime lighting feature at Canderel's Aura at College Park, when several of our Forum contributors posted photos of the occurrence. The vertical LED strips on Aura's upper floors and crown were once again turned on for testing last night and this morning, and just like last time, many of our Forum photographers captured the action from various vantage points.

While the upper floors of the 78-storey, Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed condominium tower' east façade was fully illuminated, the west side of the building's fins shielding the mechanical penthouse were not turned on during the tests. In the image below, captured from the west on College Street, we can see the lighting terminate above the final residential floor. Once the development is completed, the LEDs will run up the entire length of the roof fins, similar to the east façade.

In the image below, captured early this morning by Forum contributor ChesterCopperpot, we can see a much more detailed view of the upper portion of Aura's illuminated east façade, as well as the temporary derrick used recently to disassemble the development's tower crane.

We are still unsure of how long it will be before Aura's lights become a permanent nightly evening feature of the building.
